Day 5 of our late March trip to Olympic National Park, in Washington, started off with overcast skies. Today the plan was to leave Hobuck Beach Resort, and head back toward Forks ending up at Rialto Beach for sunset.
The plan for today is to head to Sol Duc Falls and Lake Crescent. It rained hard again all night, making it hard to sleep with the rain pounding on the canopy. The canopy also developed a leak around the window seal, which was fixed when we got back home. We were camped at Three Rivers RV Park, NE of Forks, Washington.
Heavy rain started coming down at 11:00 last night, a hard pounding rain. No need to get up early for sunrise. Just a dark gray night becoming a dull gray day. We were camped at Kalaloch Beach Campground, just off Highway 101 in Washington. We slept in until 8:00, then got up and put on rain coats. I made coffee on the camp stove, in the rain.
Kalaloch and Ruby Beach, Olympic National Park, Washington were on tap for day two of our late March trip to Olympic National Park. Exploring, photographing, walking the trails and beaches and camping out at night. We drove from Graves Creek Campground through Queets to Beach 1. It started out a nice sunny day, not so good for waterfall images, but I was hoping for some good color in the sky for sunset.
